I know there must be endless emails arriving in your inbox with information, news and updates about the corona virus.

I don't want to overload you with more of the same and I see that the social media is flooded with how to stay fit and eat well at this time.

What I do want to do is pop in to check how my clients, colleagues and friends are managing emotionally?
This certainly is not an easy time and I know that some people are finding isolation particularly challenging.I'm hearing that the extroverts amongst us are tearing their hair out, where, as the introverts are feeling quite comfortable staying at home with not too many social interactions. Some people are having realisations that they actually needed more human contact than they thought they did. And some people are discovering a stillness they didn't know they had.

There is no right or wrong way to be feeling, and however you are reacting or responding to this covid 19 crisis is legitimate and real for you.

You may even feel a hundred different emotions ranging from fear, panic, grief, anxiety, and sadness, frustration, irritability, and scared all in one hour and then feel them again the next hour and the hours after that. This is totally normal and understandable right now.

I have moved all my counselling and coaching locations online for the foreseeable future, and because this is such an unprecedented crisis I have decided to change my fees to a sliding scale depending on peoples individual situation. This means people who still have full employment, people who have less employment now, and people who have suddenly found themselves with no employment can still access counselling until this crisis passes. We can reevaluate at the end of June and see how things are going for everyone. But for now I will consider each person on an individual needs basis.

I have a Bupa provider number and a medibank private provider number if that helps and am offering Face time sessions (audio or with video), skype sessions, zoom and old-fashioned phone calls.

I must emphasise I am unable to provide crisis counselling at this time but please keep these numbers close by should you be in a crisis or things feel overwhelming for you.
